Hi, I’m Anna.

I am originally from Washington, USA but have been calling Utrecht, NL home since 2016.

It all started when I first discovered and fell in love with Muay Thai back in the US and trained for 8 years, eventually obtaining my second-degree black belt and competing in an amateur Thai boxing fight.

I continued training martial arts, kickboxing specifically, at REFLEX Training Utrecht after moving here and eventually started teaching as well. That is where I met Synthia Stoffer and was introduced to the JUNO self-defense program. I had some experience with self-defense techniques but nothing in depth and was particularly interested in the JUNO program since it’s specifically tailored to women and our experiences.

I started as a participant myself and as I went through the program, I was inspired to really dive in and learn as much as possible with the goal that I might teach others how to feel empowered, know their own strength and resiliency, and if needed, how to protect themselves physically. The path to JUNO Trainer Certification has been challenging and immensely rewarding. I am grateful that I get to pass on this important knowledge and help women find their own internal warrior spirit!

When I’m not teaching kickboxing or self-defense I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, cooking, playing board games, watching movies, spending time with friends and getting outdoors exploring the Netherlands and surrounding areas.
